The challenge
A multi-specialty medical center in Illapel, Chile: laboratory, imaging, pre-employment medical exams and agreements with companies. It needed two different things at the same time: a serious public website, and an internal system to organize its daily operations without renting several separate tools.
What I did
Console CM Vida Plena: a system of its own, modular, built on FastAPI and Postgres. In production: billing, HR, appointment confirmation by WhatsApp with a state machine, and payment reconciliation. On top of that, the public website with appointment booking and access to test results. Everything runs on a VPS managed in-house, with reproducible infrastructure.
- Access control: 7 roles · 19 granular permissions
- Log of access to sensitive data: in production, designed with Chile’s Law 21.719 on personal data in mind
- Encrypted backups: daily, with tiered retention
- Automatic payment reconciliation: the engine matches bank transfers against invoices; doubtful cases are left for human review
Result
The center runs on the system every day: the administration that used to be spread across spreadsheets and emails now lives in one place, and the data controls (role-based access, a record of who sees what, encrypted backups) are working in production, not just written into a policy.
The public website followed the same path: it moved from WordPress to Astro, and content now renders in 2 seconds on mobile against 6.4 before, with a mobile PageSpeed score of 99 (PSI mobile, 5 runs, median).

PageSpeed Insights, run on August 14, 2026 on cmvidaplena.cl, mobile.
And the system belongs to the center: its data lives in one place and the operation no longer depends on third-party services. In production and evolving continuously.
The starting point
A multi-specialty medical center running its administration across spreadsheets, emails and systems that didn't talk to each other. The relationship started in 2021 with the brand and the website; over the years the work grew into the system that now organizes its daily operations.
