The problem
Google is no longer the only door. Hundreds of millions of people solve their questions by asking ChatGPT directly, and a large share of Google searches is already answered with an AI summary at the top, without anyone scrolling down to the results. If the AI doesn’t name you in that answer, for that user you don’t exist, even if you rank first in the links further down.
That’s where the opportunity appears, and that’s also where the problem appears: since everyone can smell it, GEO filled up with people selling it as a secret science, with promises nobody can keep, which is pure hype. The reality is simpler: Google’s AI summaries are built on the same ranking as always, so half the work is having solid SEO, and the other half is organizing your content so that a model can cite it.
What I do
- Prompt research: I find out what your customer asks the AI about what you sell, to know where you want to show up.
- Technical SEO and schema: a healthy, well-structured site. It’s what AI summaries share with regular search, and it’s part of the work rather than an optional extra.
- Content a model can cite: clear answers, with data and sources. Pieces the AI can pick up and attribute to you, without filler.
- Mentions where the AI looks: real opportunities to be named on sites that the models consider trustworthy. No inflated PR campaigns or tricks.
- Measuring your visibility in AI: how often it names you, how it describes you and against whom, with a sample that’s repeated over time.
What’s out of scope: magic. If your base SEO isn’t healthy, we start there: without it, GEO has nothing to hold on to.
Real case
It’s a new service, so I’m not going to invent a GEO case with figures for you: that would be exactly the hype I’m talking about. But what sits underneath is proven. In classic SEO I multiplied the monthly organic clicks of Gato Arcano by 20, and I took the main keyword of Verdecorp from position 76 to first place on Google. GEO uses that same work (technical SEO, schema, content by intent) aimed at getting the AI to cite you now. The sites that organize their content today are the ones the AI learns to name first, so getting in early is the advantage.
How I do it
- 01
Prompts and base
I find out what your customer asks the AI about what you sell, and I check that your base SEO is healthy. Without that, GEO doesn't take hold.
- 02
Citable content
I organize your content into clear answers, with data and sources, and with the right schema, so a model can pick it up and attribute it to you.
- 03
Measurement
I sample your key questions and show you how often the AI names you and how, compared with your competitors. With the honest caveat that it's measured with less precision than Search Console.
What you get
- Knowing whether the AI names you today, ignores you or names your competitors, with a sample you can repeat.
- Your content and technical base organized so that models can cite you.
- Concrete mention opportunities in the sources the AI tends to cite, worked on without tricks.
- The truth about whether this is worth it for you today, before you spend money on a trend.
What is GEO, or SEO for AI?
It's getting the AI to mention you, and not only your competitors, when someone asks it about what you offer. More and more people solve their searches inside ChatGPT, Perplexity or Google's AI summary, without visiting any website. GEO works so that you show up in that answer.
Is GEO the same as local SEO?
No, and the acronym invites confusion: here GEO is Generative Engine Optimization (optimization for AI engines), not geolocation. Local SEO is Google Maps and the local 3-pack in your area, GEO is showing up in the answers the AI gives. Local SEO is not something I offer as a service for now.
Isn't GEO just hype?
It has some of that, which is why it's worth looking at calmly. The valid criticism is that AI engines change their rules often, so you can't build your business on tricks for this week's model. That's why I anchor the work in what lasts: healthy technical SEO, clear content with sources, and your brand consistent across the web. That serves you with or without the GEO trend. Whoever sells you magic tactics for a specific chatbot is selling you hype.
How is it measured?
I ask the AI the questions your customer would ask, before and after, and look at how often it names you, how it describes you and how often you appear compared with your competitors. With an honest warning: this is measured with less precision than Search Console, because the AI changes from one answer to the next. That's why I show you how I measure it, instead of an invented score.
How much does SEO for AI cost?
It depends on the state of your base SEO and how competitive your industry is, so I don't have a list price. And if your base isn't ready for GEO yet, I tell you up front: we start with technical SEO, which pays off either way. In the free diagnosis we pin it down with data, before I charge you anything.
Is it worth it for my business yet?
It depends on your industry. If your customers already ask the AI about what you sell, being early is a real advantage. If your industry barely shows up in those conversations yet, I tell you so and I don't charge you to get ahead of something that isn't there. In the diagnosis we look at it with data, without the enthusiasm.
